AssuranceLab adopted Rippling's unified HRIS platform, which centralized its scattered systems and automated manual processes, enhancing global compliance and operational efficiency to support international expansion.
01
Centralized data management
Rippling provided a single source of truth for all HR-related data. This centralization improved data accuracy and security, which is particularly vital for a cybersecurity audit firm.
“Having all our information in one place has simplified compliance and enabled better decision-making,” said Bradley Steinbach, AssuranceLab’s People & Culture Manager.
James Andrew-Smith, AssuranceLab’s CTO, appreciates Rippling’s centralized nature from an engineering perspective, “I really respect the way Rippling has engineered its platform from the ground up. It's not a bunch of third party platforms underneath what's been purchased. If something comes up and there's a problem, we're speaking to the company that's going to fix it,” he said.
02
Operational efficiency and automation
Rippling’s seamless integration reduced manual work and allowed for real-time, automated updates across operations. Before Rippling, onboarding could take up to several hours per employee because of manual tasks. With Rippling, the time was reduced to just minutes.
“The consolidation into Rippling’s system has been a huge timesaver, streamlining onboarding and payroll processes significantly. There’s absolutely no way I would have been able to handle onboarding 18 people over two months without Rippling.” Bradley said.
03
Global compliance and scalability
Rippling’s platform supported AssuranceLab's need for SOC 2 compliance and facilitated its expansion into new international markets. The introduction of Rippling also coincided with a period of significant international expansion for AssuranceLab, where it hired 18 new employees across various jurisdictions within just a month and a half, demonstrating Rippling’s capacity to handle rapid international scaling and compliance needs efficiently.
Rippling grows with us, continuously adapting and evolving, which is invaluable for our global operations.

Enhanced security and device management
With Rippling’s device management capabilities, AssuranceLab easily handles secure and efficient device provisioning and deprovisioning, essential for its remote workforce. For instance, upon implementing Rippling’s automated system, the time to deprovision access for terminated employees was cut down from days to minutes, drastically minimizing potential security breaches.
“Device provisioning through Rippling has been incredible. This has drastically reduced our security risks and operational overhead,” said Bradley.
“People don't think about the problems they don't have. All the little things that Rippling helps enable...it's an intangible measurement of all those slices of experiences where people aren't having these problems,” James added.
05
Seamless support through AI
Rippling's sophisticated AI-driven support tool empowered AssuranceLab to resolve issues autonomously, finding relevant and contextual answers directly through the platform 70% of the time.
“We've had great support. We always get answers quickly. It's been awesome. When we need a person, we get a person,” Brad said. “Often the bot solves the problem for me, which is amazing. The AI algorithm on the support answers probably 7 out of 10 of my questions. Often they're complex and I get a summary of how to solve the problem quickly...It's the smartest bot I've spoken to.”
“As a builder of software, I know things are never going to be perfect and it's the support process that sets businesses apart. Rippling offers this through connection with the customer,” James added.

Transformed performance management
Before Rippling, AssuranceLab had no formal process for performance reviews. The introduction of Rippling’s performance management tool saw an impressive 96% uptick in participation, a testament to its effectiveness and user-friendliness.
“In all my time as an HR practitioner, I’ve never seen such a high uptick on performance reviews,” Bradley said, emphasizing the system’s impact on fostering continuous improvement and employee engagement.
