While at Rippling, I have helped implement an Ethics Hotline to empower employees to report ethical concerns anonymously and securely. This initiative fosters a culture of integrity and transparency, ensuring that every voice can be heard without fear of retaliation. With this hotline, employees can submit concerns privately and still have them addressed in an actionable way, allowing the company to respond promptly to any issues raised. Through this initiative, we’re committed to upholding high standards of conduct and building a workplace where trust and open communication are valued.

The impact

Compliance is a powerful enabler for businesses, providing the foundation needed to operate legally and responsibly. Securing and maintaining necessary licenses to conduct business isn't just about meeting regulatory requirements; it opens doors to new markets and strengthens trust with customers. Implementing advanced systems to prevent, detect, and report criminal activities like fraud and money laundering further protects the business and its clients. These systems, alongside rigorous monitoring for sanctioned activities, help businesses avoid legal risks and penalties. Proactive compliance fosters a culture of integrity, safeguards reputation, and ultimately supports sustainable growth by ensuring operations are aligned with both legal obligations and ethical standards.

My biggest learning at Rippling

During my time at Rippling, I've learned a lot about making things happen effectively. The pace here pushes you to make decisions fast—no room for overthinking! It’s all about assessing quickly, deciding, and moving forward. Getting quick alignment with teammates is key; we work to get on the same page fast so we can execute smoothly. Another big takeaway? Lean in and take ownership. If you see something that needs doing, step in. Lastly, I've learned the importance of setting clear dates and commitments. Deadlines drive progress, and setting them helps us all stay accountable and focused. It’s an environment that values speed, ownership, and clarity, which keeps things exciting and impactful.

Tips for Future Ripplers

Joining Rippling is a unique opportunity for anyone looking to be part of a fast-paced, dynamic environment where you can genuinely make an impact. It’s challenging yet manageable, giving you the chance to build something meaningful. Here, you’re not just creating a product—you’re using it daily, understanding it deeply, and improving it firsthand. In Compliance, it’s especially exciting, as the role goes beyond the back office. You’ll help shape compliance as a service, making it a core part of what we offer customers, not just a support function. If you're ready to dive in and make compliance integral to a customer-first approach, Rippling is the place to be.

When I’m not building Rippling, I’m…

Outside of work, I’m usually chauffeuring my kids to their various sports, hoping to tire them out (and me, too!). When I’m not on the go, I love hanging out with my dogs, hitting the trails for a hike, or skiing once the snow hits. Recently, I've taken up gardening, and with lemons as my bumper crop (well, only), I’m learning to cook up anything that uses them! It’s all part of the adventure, balancing family, fun, and a few personal projects along the way.
