Recipe Overview

When an employee is offboarded, or reports their laptop as lost or stolen, a Devices admin may choose to remotely lock the device to protect any sensitive company information from being exposed.

Once locked, the next natural step is to let the IT team know that the device has been locked, so they can take the proper next steps—whether that’s arranging for the device to be returned, trying to track the lost device, or performing a remote wipe.

With this Recipe, you can ensure your IT team is alerted in time and able to take quick action. When an employee’s device is remotely locked, Rippling will automatically send a reminder to your IT department, urging them to take quick action on the device.

Prefer to create a Task instead? As with all our workflow Recipes, you can customize this template to your exact needs, including when it should trigger, what the action should be, who it should go to, and more.
